Farmers and artisans

DESCRIPTION

On this day we go to a village in the Stura Valley where local production companies of excellence are still present. We will therefore begin with a walk towards Cascina Piccarda, to experience first-hand what it means to be breeders today. We will have the opportunity to have an explanation of the various activities that characterize the day in a sustainable sheep farm and of course we could be told about the 0 centimeter dairy products that we will buy. The afternoon will instead be dedicated to crafts, with a visit to a filigree workshop. Here it will be possible to learn the secrets of an ancient craft and see the skilled hands of a craftsman at work, creator of an excellent art that is handed down from generation to generation in this historic village.

PROGRAM

The meeting is at 09.45 in Campo Ligure (GE). After the meeting we will allow ourselves a nice walk on the paved road and along the Ponzema stream.  After the visit to Cascina Piccarda we will retrace our steps and we will go to Fresco - Il Ristorante at your home, for the take-away packed lunch that we will consume inside the castle park. After lunch we will head to the workshop of the OM Filigrana craftsman, where we will talk about the various phases of the processing of the Campese filigree.

TECHNICAL AND LOGISTIC DATA:

Meeting: 09.45 at Campo Ligure (GE)

Duration: 7 hours

EQUIPMENT: Trekking shoes, layered technical clothing, headgear (hat-bandana), 1.5-2 liters of water, packed lunch

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: CE approved protective masks (at least 2), EC approved hydroalcoholic gel

PARTICIPATION FEES: Adults: € 15 Children from 6 to 13 years: € 10

Apart from and not included in the guide fee, there will be the lunch fee provided by Fresco - the restaurant at your home

THE FEE INCLUDES: Guided excursion with qualified excursion guide, associated with AIGAE

THE FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE: Anything that is not listed under "the fee includes"
